This blue on blue 91 Civic is listed for sale on CL.
Now I would Love to own and daily drive a clean blue on blue 4th gen Civic. But 7500 bucks? Your on crack if you’d pay that much for an old Civic. Especially SF one that isn’t even an Si, Or B swapped, or K swapped or anything. Just a stock base DX, with like 110hp. But the icing on the crack pipe cake is right here.
I don’t think anyone who lusts after a 4th gen hatch wants an automatic one.
Now if this was 4 grand and stick I’d be running to the bank.

Maybe if it was a rust free CRX with a clean B16/B18 swap and a stick, maybe. Not for a D15 Auto....
AKA my old car :D

Was gonna say “I don’t know, man, you could flip that on BaT in about four seconds.” Then I saw the auto.

My life long love if 4th gens comes from this car.
My 91 STD. D15, 5 speed.I bought it for 600 bucks with 212,000 miles. Daily drive it for 2.5 years before it got rear ended. I’d love to have another some day. Then RallyX/ off-roaded it for another 3 summers Untill it finally died with 238,000 miles and no oil. Whoo0ps.

It’s Radwood tax.
Honestly though? 7500 isn’t outlandish if it’s honestly 100% original and rust free. This may be the lowest mile running one in this shape.

Yeah that really hurts the value, but probably also has a lot to do with it being so clean, and with so few miles.

Internal monologue: “Oh hey that looks clean AF. Only 30k miles!? Yeah these are commanding a premium these days so I guess I could see that. Oh wait... isn’t DX the base trim? Oh... it is auto? Gross. Wait no AC? No RADIO? WTF?! This is like the blueprint by which other crack pipes model themselves ”

S uper du per CP with that motor/transmission combo.
He clearly got duped when he bought it, and now searches for a bigger sucker.

It certainly is a rare bird.
Mostly I’m sad to see a lot of the cars I want going up in value because I know my income isn’t going to catch up. It’s the same with Starions. 5 years ago they were cheap cars that I could almost afford. Now I make way more money and still can’t afford one because they’ve tripled in value.

Well, according to the listing, it does have an after-market radio, and it does have A/C. But, still. $7,000?!? He’ll probably get that, or close too it, but that is a lot of money for a base model Civic. I mean, I’d like to drive it, as its a nice, tidy little car. But, so many better options for that much cash.

Ex isn’t quite the base trim. There was the STD (standard) under it with unpainted bumpers and vinyl seats. That’s what I had.
That’s what mine was. It also go no model badging for obvious reasons.

Fun fact all 91 Civics have a.c. Buttons. Whether they have a.c. Or not. Mine had one, and so does this.
The only thing worse than a blank switch is a labeled switch reminding you that you didn’t get that option. Lol.

It must be a crap radio since he didn’t include any photos of it. For those who want to follow up, here’s a link to the listing:

I can understand no AC (that's how a lot of base model cars came in those days), but why are you going without a radio? They're $40 at Walmart and will take 10 minutes to install in that dash. It's not like you have to partially disassemble the center stack or the like..

It's worth a shot. Let someone more ambitious attempt a manual swap.

Just as bad as a greedy flipper - a guy who sunk too much into it and feels entitled to breaking even.

For $7,500 I’d at least want a passenger’s side mirror. Can’t tell you how many people asked me about that when I had my ‘90 sedan in college. “Where’s the mirror over here?” “Never had one” -blank stares-

No, unfortunately the seller has added a stereo set.
“
I installed a radio along with antenna and speakers.
The radio delete plate is in the glovebox.
